Q. When will I receive the property address and location?
Once your booking has been paid in full (typically six weeks before arrival), we will send you the address and physical location of the apartment, along with detailed instructions on how to get there. This way, we can be sure you have the most up-to-date information for reaching Ca' Venexiana.

Q. Is the cost for utilities and taxes included in the rental?
Yes, we provide gas for cooking and heating, electricity for all appliances and lighting, as well as water and trash pick-up. Unlimited internet use and tourism taxes are also included. We kindly request that you ensure your use of the utilities is not abusive in nature and ask that you don't leave lights or appliances running unnecessarily.

Q. Do you supply the household linens? Also, is cleaning included, or must we pay for housekeeping separately?
All bed linen, bath and kitchen towels, and final cleaning upon your departure are included with your stay. For stays longer than one week, linens and towels are changed and cleaning of the flat is done weekly; this service can be arranged more often for an additional charge. We do kindly request that you tidy up the apartment before your final departure, discarding leftover food, washing any soiled dishes or kitchenware, and removing your trash.

Q. Is there any flexibility to your "3 Night Minimum" stay requirement?
Yes, depending upon our availability and the season, we do occasionally accept a 2 night stay. Please ask us.

Q. Do you provide parking? What is the easiest way to reach Venice?
While driving directly to the apartment is impossible, if you are arriving by way of your own watercraft, we do offer a private mooring (9 meters in length) directly alongside our private courtyard. Otherwise, Venice is easily accessible by airplane, car, train, or cruise ship. Two airports service Venice directly, both Aeroporto Marco Polo (VCE) and Aeroporto di Treviso (TSF), with frequent bus and taxi service to and from both. Aeroporto Marco Polo is also serviced by water taxi and waterbus routes. By car, there are a number of parking facilities both at Venice's Piazzale Roma, and on the mainland in Mestre, that we can recommend for you. Also, most major rental car firms (Avis, Hertz, Alamo/National, Europcar, etc.) operate offices directly from Piazzale Roma, which allows you to rent and return hired vehicles in Venice proper, rather than at the airport location (a good option if you'd like to take a daytrip drive through the countryside outside Venice). By train, the station Venezia Santa Lucia is a mere bridge crossing away from Piazzale Roma and very accessible for arriving at our property. If you are arriving or departing Venice by cruise ship, our apartment is very conveniently located near Stazione Marittima at the San Basilio pier. We are happy to recommend the best method of arrival based on your travel plans.

Q. My flight/train is delayed! What do I do?
We certainly understand that traveling can bring unexpected delays. We will provide you the mobile number of our property manager, Irene, so that you can keep her informed of any change in plans. In the unlikely event that you cannot reach Irene, you will be given contact information for us as well.

Q. What time can we arrive? And when must we leave by?
2pm is the usual check-in/arrival time, and 11am the check-out/departure time. The time in between allows us sufficient time for cleaning and preparation of the apartment for incoming guests. It is sometimes possible for us to allow an extension of these hours, but we must be notified well in advance. Furthermore, we cannot guarantee an extension of these hours as we accept bookings for vacant days at any time. If you are arriving to Venice early or departing late and the property must be prepared for another party, it is possible to arrange for your luggage to be stored.

Q. This is my first visit to Venice; what is there to do there?
The question should be "What isn't there to do there?" Venice and the surrounding countryside on the mainland offer a varied itinerary of interesting things to do and see, including but not limited to museums,, galleries, historic buildings, cooking classes, winery tours, daytrips to nearby towns/villages, river cruises, beach outings... the list truly is endless. Ask us! We're happy to recommend and help in the planning of your Venice visit.
